Sometimes we can feel like the weight of life is crushing us. It’s easy to focus on the negatives and the what ifs, while allowing them to press down on us crushing our hope. Crushing our joy. Destroying our peace.

But when we go to the word of God we read the stories of others who lived before us. Others who also struggled and feared. We find relief in knowing that we can relate to what they went through and find strength in the power of God, just as they did.

Today God reminds me that even though I might feel afraid or worried about the future, God is with me. I can’t see tomorrow but I can look at yesterday and remember that God who was faithful then will be faithful still.

Even though we will have hard times or struggle, we will not be destroyed by it because we have the living God dwelling inside us through His Holy Spirit.

As I reminded myself of this truth today I had to share it with you too. The safest place to be on earth is inside the will and leading of God. The safest place to be is in His hands. So no matter where we go in life or what we struggle with, the Lord God himself will strengthen his children and help them. -KM

Prayer: Thank you Lord Jesus for your mercy and presence. We trust you with all our fears and with our tomorrow’s. It’s in our weakness that your strength and power is shown. Take over Lord. Amen

2 Corinthians 4:7 NLT — We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
