“I remember You (God) upon my bed and meditate on You in the night watches. For You have been my help, and in the shadow of Your wings will I rejoice. My whole being follows hard after You and clings closely to You; Your right hand upholds me.” -Psalm 63:6-8

I read this in a small devotional book today and it really encouraged me. God reminds us that when we are filled with worry about the trial we are facing or going to face that the best way to step out of that pit is to meditate on the character of God.

Go back and remember all that He has done in the past and that He has always been faithful. He has not forsaken you nor failed you in the past and He will not today either.

I just love that this verse says, “Your right hand upholds me.” It comforts me to remember that I don’t have to be strong enough for the battle, all I need to do is rest in Him, and He will hold me up with His power and strength and keep me going.

We don’t have to be strong because we have a mighty God who literally holds us up with His right hand!! All we have to do is cling to Him, trust Him, and start doing what He is teaching us to do.

Even in the face of the hard times, the impossible situations we will learn to walk with Jesus……we just need to let go and trust Him.
